Disaster Recovery Planning
Welcome to ConsultationNZ™
Disaster recovery plans (DRP) are one of those things that all organisations know they need, but production is often pushed onto the back-burner. And there it stays until disaster strikes- ask so many organisations in Canterbury about their readiness for the earthquakes in September 2010 and February 2011.
Unfortunately, at the other end of the scale, DRPs can be taken too seriously and huge manuals produced detailing every possible and probable (and sometimes improbable) event and what to do. The producers of the manuals feel very virtuous - DRP box well and truly ticked. And staff put the manual somewhere and never look at it again. Then some years later someone will remember the DRP and update it - and the whole saga starts again.
ConsultationNZ takes a different approach. We work with the staff who would have to act so we know that the DRP is "owned" by them. We keep it simple, brief and very useable.
Please contact us now to find out how we could help you produce a useable DRP before it's too late.
